Somebody That I Used to Know cover - Walk off the Earth
This video’s got 95 Million views on YouTube already and I know I’m so late reaction about it but OH MY GOODNESS I just had to share it here.
Seriously, world. This cover is mad. This band is ridiculous. And also, they were adorable on Ellen.
And I heard you said one time, that I never even f-ing cross your mind.
I guess I’ll act like that’s fine, but you should know that you cross mine all the time.

Summer Is Over - Jon McLaughlin feat. Sara Bareilles
Jon McLaughlin is unbelievably sexy (Sorry. Can’t. Help. It. There’s just no other better way to describe him. I mean, look. At. Him.) and Sara Bareilles is my personal heroine. Secretly, I’ve had this fantasy that they would just team up to create pretty, pretty music. And a few months ago I think they heard me. Since then I’ve had this song on repeat.
Listen to its lyrics:
Autumn never seemed this cold before
Here I am sleeping on the floor
We changed just like the leaves
Outside my house
And my phone lay silent by the couch
I remember June
Back when I met you
And your eyes were green
And we were, too
But summer is over
We were tangled in the morning sun
Felt you getting colder
And we knew that we would come undone
And it’s back to my town, back to your life
Gray skies are blowing a kiss goodbye to the lovers
Cause summer is over
I can still see your silhouette
In the white hot sand
Still feel your ring on my hand
The clock was always ticking down
Behind that glass
Singing “love, be good while you last”
But we both knew
What we were getting into
The things we said
Sounded true
The distant innocence
We are leaving far behind
Your last words will be burning in my mind
In the winter time
Sigh. And now the pretty, pretty song has its music video. They should make babies, these two. Seriously.
So when it’s Aguinaldo Day tomorrow and you’re exempted at work training and you’ve just been to the premiere night of the Hunger Games and it definitely did not disappoint, plus people from your past are suddenly showing up out of nowhere, pretending they’ve never really gone anywhere. And then of course you’re still as confused as ever about someone who expects you to keep being understanding.
This, you guys, is the result of all that feelings.
Just so you know, I don’t do this everyday. Sure, I was considered a “singer” growing up (with my fan base mostly consisting of my dad, my mom and my nanay Virling), but I put that phase behind when I entered college. Then again right now I just have all these feelings that, I don’t know, I have a sudden need to express them through a song? Haha, go figure me out.
This is a cover of a song very close to my heart by a singer I’d go forgetting my Prince Charming for.
This is Gravity by Sara Bareilles, covered by me.
P.S.
Please don’t laugh.
Free - Haley Reinhart
Finally, friends! It’s the first single from Haley’s debut album, to come out in May. Til then, I’ll be here memorizing this pretty song and practicing my ever fail Haley impersonation.
Why? Because once I’m a fan, I’m forever a fan.
So Haley haters, back off! Haha.

A mix to remember my awful weakness for boys who can play with strings and make beautiful, honest-to-the-bone music.
Play it here.

It’s getting late; why mustn’t we talk. We will let the stars be our witness.

Le new obsession.
Because actually, I appreciate both indie and pop. Now imagine those moments when I stumble upon bands that are cool enough to be indie and lovable enough to be pop. Haaaa. This is one of those moments.
So. Le new obsession, The Minor Leagues.

A seven piece awesome Indiepop band from Cincinattaayyy that has been making pretty music since 2002.
They so are the updated Belle & Sebastian with a little 60’s Brit band twist. They could also be Death Cab for Cutie’s best friend. I’m in looooove!
And their lyrics are so nostalgic of highschool. It kinda made me wish I was in Cincinatti and they were my closest friends from those painful years.
Well you can cry for the love that never was
Or you can go around appreciating what you’ve got
So please forgive me if you find me crying in the corner
And you can pine for the love that you never knew
Or you can take some pleasure in what’s right in front of you
So please forgive me if you find me talking to old photos
We’re both guilty, so there’s no point in us pointing fingers at each other
Just another chance to wonder what to do with ourselves next
So it’s safe to say we’ve never seen one such as you show up on the scene
Funny and intelligent, sarcastic, irreverent opinions on everything
No, I don’t dance too well, but I really like sitting here with you just talking
How could I not fall in love with you when you tell me that you like Twin Peaks?
And of course, my personal The Minor Leagues playlist:
(Yeah, I’m linking you to YouTube because, really, why is Selena Gomez getting more views there?)

Sigh. They are awesome.
Yellow (Coldplay cover) - Sara Bareilles
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
You know you know I love you so
You know I love you so

Marble Sound - Come Here
There’s a wind that blows in from the north
And it says that loving takes this course
Come here. Come here.
No I’m not impossible to touch
I have never wanted you so much
Come here. Come here.
Have I never laid down by your side?
Baby, let’s forget about this pride
Come here. Come here.
Well, I’m in no hurry
You don’t have to run away this time
I know that you’re timid
but it’s gonna be all right this time
The Honey Trees - To Be With You
I climbed this hill watching so still
I took to the fears of all I held dear
But up on this height, a majestic sight
Flooded the skies
And how I could feel you near
Oh I could sail the world
Search through the darkest waters but
I’d never find
These golden eyes
I held the stars to light where you are
When your unfeigned heart called to me through the dark
Soaked in the sound that rose from the ground
There I could feel
I felt, I felt you near
Oh I could sail the world
Search through the darkest waters but
I’d never find
These golden eyes
Oh I’d wait for the seas to part
To be with you
Jason Mraz - I Won’t Give Up
I predict that in another week this song would already be overplayed everywhere. But before that happens, allow me to post this here.
First song to make me cry this year!
When I look into your eyes
It’s like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
There’s so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you’ve come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?
I won’t give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up
And when you’re needing your space
To do some navigating
I’ll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find
‘Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We’ve got a lot to learn
God knows we’re worth it
No, I won’t give up
I don’t wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I’m here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you’re still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn’t break, we didn’t burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I’ve got, and what I’m not
And who I am
I won’t give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up
Still looking up.
iPod + iTunes ad - Dance Tonight by Paul McCartney
Oh, Paul. You are obviously not my favorite. But you are still being so hipster and I am finding it very adorable. Still, you are making me miss what used to be. An iPod + iTunes ad with the four of you still being so hipster would have been priceless.
